For the first time on Blu-ray… Peter Capaldi in a Triumph for British Comedy!

From director Stefan Schwartz (Shooting Fish, The Walking Dead, Luther, The Boys) comes “the best British comedy since Local Hero” (Daily Mirror), in its long-awaited Blu-ray debut – 27 years after its original release!

Peter Capaldi (Doctor Who) wrote the screenplay and stars in that rarest of subgenres – the British road movie – tearing up the M1 in his clapped out Triumph Herald convertible at speeds in excess of 40 miles per hour. It’s a race against the clock as a whole bunch of wacky characters keep getting in his way. Will he make it back home to Glasgow in time to claim his share of the family fortune? Or will he be left crying on the hard shoulder?

Also starring in this critically acclaimed comedy, which won the audience award at the 1992 London Film Festival, is Elaine Collins, Frances Barber, Simon Callow, Jeremy Northam, Phyllis Logan and Richard Wilson – with a driving soundtrack written especially for the film by Chris Rea.

“It’s a terrific, good-time comedy,” said The Sunday Times. Time Out called it “engagingly offbeat.”

Unavailable in the UK for decades, its Blu-ray debut surely heralds a triumph for the British film industry!
